Caleb, Daddy, and Ranger

I've been pretty lax about taking pictures lately. When I went to upload the pics I do have today, I realized that almost all of them were of some combination of Caleb, Joel, and Ranger. Caleb is starting to become more aware of Ranger lately, which is a lot of fun. He sometimes smiles when Ranger licks him, and he will occasionally reach out to touch Ranger. Fortunately, Ranger is pretty gentle with Caleb.

Mohawk Boy

Caleb is still mostly bald, but he has just a little strip of hair on top. So before his bath the other day, I grabbed the mousse. Here are the results. The pictures didn't turn out very well, but trust me, he was cute!

Who flipped the switch?

Caleb turned five months old two days ago! It is amazing to us how quickly time is passing. In the last week or so, it is almost as if someone has flipped a switch. Caleb seems much more aware of his surroundings, and his muscle tone even seems to have improved dramatically. He is sitting with less assistance and doing less of the bobble-head thing. When I was reading a book to him yesterday, he reached out and grabbed it! He is also discovering how loudly he can squeal...and believe me, it's loud! It is so much fun to see him grow. Unfortunately, all theses changes have also come with sleep interruption. He hasn't been sleeping well at night or napping well during the day. This could make things interesting, as I rely on him napping well during the mornings so I can get some sleep after working at night. We'll see how it goes this week!

Here are some current pictures taken just yesterday of our little man.

just chillin' with Daddy

We finally got him to smile, but not before he'd drooled on himself. :) The boy is a drool factory these days!

Obsessed

I'm slightly obsessed with how cute Caleb is in his towel after a bath. If Joel is home, I always take Caleb in to see him because I just have to share the cuteness with someone.

Backyard Bible Clubs

Several weeks ago, we hosted a Backyard Bible Club at our house. It was not quite as exciting as Backyard Bible Club last year, when we found out we were expecting a baby. :) It was still a lot of fun, though, and we're praying that God will continue to use us in the lives of our neighbors. True to form, I forgot to take many pictures. I think these were taken during the old favorite, "Father Abraham."
